'Til Death Do Us Part — a wedding murder mystery at Free Run Cellars, September 18
Vineyard Crime Scene — Do Not Cross

Happily never after

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining — but the wedding bells aren't ringing for this not-so-happy couple. A member of the wedding party has been murdered, and with a raging bridezilla and an un-enthused groom on the scene, it may be happily never after in this nuptial nightmare.

Your job? Trade clues with the other guests and help the hapless couple figure out whodunnit — so they can say "I do" before the wedding hour passes them by. It's a fully hosted, interactive whodunit run by professional actors from The Murder Mystery Co., right here at the vineyard.

Come for the intrigue, stay for the wine. Grab your ticket, pour a glass, and start taking names.

Better with a table of four

Murder mysteries are a team sport. Round up a date, your closest friends, the coworkers who keep the group chat alive, or the family member who never misses a plot twist. Solo sleuths are welcome too — we'll seat you with fellow guests.

👰 Dress the Part

Come as a wedding guest — or a wedding disaster

The bride and groom aren't picky, so wear just about whatever you'd like. In fact, we encourage you to break out your own wedding dress or the most ridiculous wedding attire you can dream up. It'll make their special day that much more special — so long as they actually get the chance to walk down the aisle.

No costume required — jeans and a nice top are perfectly fine. Nobody gets turned away for under- (or over-) dressing.

Before you book

Do I have to dress up?

No. Wedding attire is encouraged because it makes the night more fun, but it is never required. Jeans and a nice top are perfectly fine, and nobody is turned away for being under- or over-dressed.

Do I have to act or perform?

No. You are a wedding guest, not a suspect. Professional actors from The Murder Mystery Co. carry the show. You trade clues with the people at your table and join in as much or as little as you like.

Can I come alone, or as a couple or group?

All of the above. Solo guests are seated with others and get pulled into the case right away. Couples and groups of friends make the best sleuthing teams. Each checkout covers up to four tickets, so larger parties simply check out twice and add everyone's names in the checkout note so we can seat you together.

Is dinner included?

Your ticket includes a charcuterie board and a glass of Free Run Cellars wine. It is a generous board rather than a full plated dinner, and more wine and small bites are available at the bar all evening.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 6:15 PM and the show starts at 7 PM. Arrive by 6:45 so you can park, pick up your glass, and settle in before the first body drops.

How do I buy tickets?

Online through our secure pay link at pay.freeruncellars.com/murder-vineyard-2026 at $60 per person, or ask your server in the tasting room and we will pull the link up for you. Seating is limited to 50 guests, so book early.

Where do I park, and how far is it from Chicago?

There is on-site parking at the winery at 10062 Burgoyne Road in Berrien Springs, about 90 minutes from Chicago. If you would rather not drive, our Getting Here guide covers rideshare and transportation options.
